Welcome To The LAVMC
Vision For The Future
The Los Alamos Valley Men’s Club (LAVMC) clubhouse is located on Leslie Street and was founded on October 26, 1946, in the small rural town of Los Alamos, California. It has been a cornerstone of the community’s cultural, educational, philanthropic, and social growth for more than 79 years. Over the years, the club has undergone many changes, and the new board is now working on significant updates with the support of our amazing community. The club is inviting new members and planning to modernize the interior of the clubhouse. The current focus is on the beautification and building fund, with a commitment to opening up the ceiling to a fresh, contemporary design.
Supporting Our Local Programs & Communities
The club has supported local youth for decades. From 2022 to 2024, LAVMC funded numerous organizations, including Friends of the Los Alamos Library, Los Alamos Senior Center, Pioneer Valley FFA, Righetti Soccer, Wish Upon a Star, Righetti High AG Boosters, Neal Taylor Nature Center, Lompoc Valley Distance Club, Santa Maria Valley Historical Museum, Olga Reed Elementary, Be Strong You’re Loved, Allison Smith Los Alamos Swim, Olga Reed PTSA, Los Alamos Theatre Group, Friends of the Los Alamos Cemetery, Orcutt Union Soccer League, Orcutt Unified Soccer League, Soccer Club Elite, FCC Lompoc Employees Club, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Righetti FFA, Butchers of America, Los Alamos State Preschool, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, California Taxidermists, and Los Alamos Children’s Sports Scholarships. And more is planned for 2025.

The clubhouse is available at minimal cost for community events and, when available, is offered to members for meetings at no charge. The club frequently hosts fundraisers and dinners, including regular Bingo games. A new Trivia Night has been introduced, with an Open Mic Night also in the works. Look forward to some exciting evenings in 2025—we’ll be hosting a Community Open House and launching a fantastic new event called Vine2Wine, Brews & Bites, a fundraiser for Old Days. We’re also gearing up for our upcoming Spring Fling and Back on Bell Old Days celebrations.
LAVMC’s goal is to attract younger members by adding features such as large-screen TVs for events, while also enhancing the space to make it more appealing for weddings and private parties. Club leaders aim to create a welcoming environment for everyone in the diverse town of Los Alamos.
